Westminster Academy has an immediate opening for an Athletic Trainer. This individual is responsible for scheduling and supervising the medical needs of the student-athletes of WA while adhering to the BOC Standards of Professional Practice. The Athletic Trainer will work to prevent, evaluate, treat and rehabilitate injuries and illnesses of student-athletes in accordance with athletic training room policies and procedures during practices and home competitions. This individual is responsible for communicating with the athletic department, parents, physicians, and coaches about the health status of student-athletes in their chosen sport. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for, but not limited to, overseeing the daily operation of the athletic training room, implementing specific treatment protocols, including therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation programs for individual athletes, providing medical coverage for home athletic events and practices and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:Candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited CAATE college or university, hold NATABOC certification, hold Florida State Athletic Training Licensure or be eligible, and have current CPR/AED certification for healthcare providers by the start date.  The individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills. This position requires initiative and someone that can multi-task and be able to work variable hours. This position requires evening and weekend assignments.
