Associate Director of Upper School Admissions

Reporting To: Director of Advancement

Full-Time Exempt


·       Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years proven success in a sales-oriented role

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to present effectively in group settings

·       Entrepreneurial spirit—willing to seek out opportunities to grow the pipeline of prospective families

·       Ability to lead and implement new initiatives to attract and/or retain students

·       Experience managing multiple priorities and seasonal peaks in workflow

·       Proven relationship building skills with varied constituencies

·       Enjoy engaging with and leading students in grades 7-12

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·       Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and solve problems when they arise

·       Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment

·       Proficient in all Microsoft tools


This twelve-month, full-time position reports to the Advancement Director and is responsible for recruitment of students to meet enrollment goals for grades 7-12.  Additionally, this role contributes substantially to retention results, with outreaches to current families at transition grades into the Upper School (grades 6 and 8) and responsibility for the First Year Experience (program designed to accelerate assimilation and engagement of new families/students).


·       Serve as the school’s primary representative to prospective families, from first contact through enrollment

·       Develop and implement targeted recruiting plans to deliver enrollment growth

·       Partner across all school departments to develop and execute compelling experiences for prospective students and families, including tours, shadow visits, and Open Houses

·       Lead CHCA’s Upper School merit scholarship program

·       Coordinate all aspects of the admissions process for Upper School families through enrollment

·       Lead the First Year Experience initiative

·       Train and engage students to be active participants in new student recruitment through the Student Ambassador program,

·       Serve as member of the Tuition Assistance Committee.

·       With a pulse on the external market and the unique positioning of the Upper School, contribute to overall messaging and marketing strategy.

·       Use database and software tools to drive engagement and manage workflows.
