ACSI Accredited Christian Heritage Academy is seeking an experienced, creative and entrepreneurial Director of Learning Resources to join our growing school for the 2021-22 school year.  CHA offers an exemplary education with a biblical worldview for preschool through high school, and equips students to be lifetime followers of Jesus Christ.

Under the guidance of the Principal, the Director is responsible for planning, administering, and facilitating the services and programs of the Learning Resources Department. The Director faithfully commits to carries out objectives and guidelines set forth by the Administration; ensures compliance and conformance to district, state and federal requirements; coordinates with outside agencies to provide appropriate services; works collaboratively with colleagues and administrators to implement and maintain services and program; and serves as resource for school personnel and families.  Additionally, the Director consults with admissions, faculty, parents, and local school districts to determine next steps and alternatives for meeting students’ learning needs, to build into the student and foster the partnership between home and school.  The Director also acts as the Learning Resource Specialist, providing small group or individual learning support to supplement or remediate classroom instruction.

In addition to a personal faith in Christ Jesus, candidates should hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education, with 5 years of experience serving students with learning needs, 2 years in a supervisory capacity, and has reading specialist or education certification. Candidates must be willing to pursue certification through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and have experience supporting students in a virtual learning environment.
